About Pivotal Point Transitional Housing

Pivotal Point Transitional Housing offers a unique approach to helping families and singles overcome homelessness and pursue self-sufficiency. In an effort to help individuals renew their lives and find their way to a permanent home, Pivotal Point Transitional Housing provides a Christian environment where life skills training, support and encouragement all contribute to a brighter future.

In exchange for a fully furnished, rent- and utility-free accommodation, participants in the program engage in a variety of training classes and receive resources to equip them to break the poverty and welfare cycle:

  • Weekly counseling sessions that offer education related to employment, budgeting, problem-solving and nutrition.
  • Access to professional services including legal assistance, auto repair, dental and medical care
  • Families that have graduated out of the program are tracked for five years and receive ongoing counseling and encouragement
  • Post-program care, including resources such as access to the food pantry, adoption into the holiday program and back-to-school assistance

While many similar programs offer participants crisis care or one-time assistance, Pivotal Point Transitional Housing addresses the total life situation of each homeless family or individual served, with the goal of helping them move to a state of self-sufficiency. As a non-profit organization, Pivotal Point Transitional Housing offers the necessary education, support and care in a tough love environment that allows individuals to move forward.
